This Privacy Policy explains what personal information CodeBoxx collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It is written to meet the requirements of Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), and to inform residents of other provinces, states and countries of how we handle their information.
1. Who we are
CodeBoxx Technology Corporation (“CodeBoxx”, “we”, “us”) is a Delaware corporation that operates a software studio (CodeBoxx Solutions), a technology school (CodeBoxx Academy) and CodeBoxx Ventures. This policy applies to our websites at codeboxx.com (including academy.codeboxx.com and solutions.codeboxx.com), the CodeBoxx Portal, and the programs and services we offer.

3. Personal information we collect
We collect only the personal information we need for the purposes described in section 4. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include the following.
3.1 Information you give us
Inquiries and contact requests: your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message.
Program applications and enrollment: your identity and contact information, the program and schedule you choose, your education and work background, and information you share about your goals or your interest in financing.
Project pitches and client engagements (Solutions and Ventures): your name, contact information, company and a description of your project.
Workshops and events: your registration details and attendance.
CodeBoxx Portal (students and graduates): your account information, coursework, attendance, assessments and progress, and career coaching information such as your résumé and job search status.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Server logs: when you visit our websites, our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the websites running.
Cookies and similar technologies: see section 5. Cookies that are not strictly necessary are only used after you consent to them.
3.3 Information from others
Employers that enroll their staff in a CodeBoxx training program may give us the participants' names and contact information.
When you apply for financing through a partner such as MiaShare or Desjardins, you deal with that partner directly under its own privacy policy. We receive only the information needed to confirm your financing and enrollment.
We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information) unless it is needed for a specific purpose, for example an accommodation you request. We only collect it with your express consent.

To answer your questions and requests.
To process your application, enroll you in a program and deliver our training, including through the CodeBoxx Portal.
To provide career coaching and, with your consent, introduce you to potential employers.
To scope and deliver software projects and services for our clients.
To send you information about our programs, events and services. You can unsubscribe at any time.
With your consent, to measure how our websites are used and to measure and improve our advertising.
To keep our websites and systems secure, and to meet our legal obligations.
We use your information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for other purposes you consent to or that the law allows. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit our websites, a banner lets you accept or refuse cookies by category. Only strictly necessary cookies are used before you make a choice. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button on our websites.
Strictly necessary: CookieYes, which stores your cookie choices.
Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics, loaded directly and through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use our websites.
Advertising (only with your consent): Google Ads conversion tracking and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, to measure the results of our advertising campaigns.
6. Who we share your information with
Your information is accessible only to CodeBoxx employees who need it to do their jobs. We share personal information outside CodeBoxx only in these cases:
Service providers that act on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only to provide their services to us: website hosting (DigitalOcean), website content delivery (Sanity), cookie consent management (CookieYes), and, only if you consent, analytics and advertising measurement (Google and LinkedIn).
Employers and clients: with your consent, for example when we introduce a graduate to an employer, or when an employer sponsors your training and receives your progress and completion information.
Financing partners: with your consent, the information needed to confirm your financing and enrollment.
When required or permitted by law, for example in response to a court order, or in connection with the sale or reorganization of all or part of our business.
7. Information stored outside Québec
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Québec, including in the United States. Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, and we put written agreements in place with our providers. Personal information held outside Québec may be accessible to the authorities of the country where it is held, as permitted by that country's laws.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as long as the law requires, for example to keep student and financial records. When it is no longer needed, we destroy it or anonymize it.
9. How we protect your information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls and encryption in transit on our websites. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec and the people concerned, and we keep a register of confidentiality incidents as required by law.
10. Your rights
Subject to the law, you have the right to:
access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
have inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information corrected;
withdraw your consent to the use or communication of your information;
receive computerized personal information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format;
ask us to stop disseminating your information, or to de-index any hyperlink attached to your name, when the law allows it;
be informed when a decision about you is based exclusively on automated processing. We do not make such decisions.
To exercise these rights, contact our person in charge of the protection of personal information (section 2). We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
11. Minors
Our websites and services are not intended for children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
Our websites contain links to websites we do not control, such as those of our financing partners. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on our websites.
