Quebec: Wednesday, November 28th, 2018 – CodeBoxx, the technology school that introduces individuals from all walks of life to the disciplines of technology, was happy to welcome its partners and supporters from both the tech community and elsewhere to a unique event where the mission and ambitions of the non-profit entity were unveiled. It's there, in the Complexe Vision building in Lebourgneuf, where the school opened its first classroom.
The choice to officially unveil the product three months after the beginning of its operation was consciously made by founder Nicolas Genest: “We didn't want to present our product and our concept with only promises, we wanted to wait to be able to share results and the ones we observe through the lens of our first cohort go way beyond the objectives we had initially. We are so proud of the participants that we are introducing to the market and especially to our elite partners.
Backed by these strong results, CodeBoxx was able to explain the three pillars of its ultra-accelerated approach to learning technology:
An original program, tailor-made for the market in which the classroom is established, exposes the participants to the modern tools and best practices widely recognized by the market. The program's intense rhythm over 16 weeks allows participants to acquire the flexibility that will be highly valued by future employers and teammates.
Each technology theme is explored in the context of a business simulation. Immersion in various enterprise use-cases allows participants to develop the reflexes and behaviors that'll be necessary for when graduates join their future teams.
Problem resolution and software implementations required for the program are done under the guidance of currently-working coaches who are invested in the success of the participants. The coaches guide and assist the participants in a manner that is adapted to their individual personnalities.
It's because “at CodeBoxx, we claim that our program teaches more than technology,” explains Nadya Fortier, Chief Operations Officer of the school. “We nurture a culture that surrounds our participants and is reinforced week after week. It pushes them to aim for excellence in their execution, to always seek what more they could do for their stakeholders to turn them into partners and always keep an eye to recognize simplicity even within complex situations. The school develops in parallel technical skills and attitude.
In order to determine if such a program is truly adapted for a candidate, CodeBoxx starts with a two-week selection program. The selection process allows participants to quickly and reliably find out if the world and reality of a technology developer is truly a world for them individually. The journey is destined to be continued beyond the training. The organisation invests resources in its alumni community to assist in the early days of their new jobs. CodeBoxx Ventures is also there to support entrepreneurial ambitions. “With CodeBoxx, I opened my address book built with relations in Paris, New York and in Silicon Valley over the past 16 years. This includes powerful Venture Capital firms and successful investors across all sectors. We are the ideal incubator for quality concepts and ideas that I will be proud to introduce to the appropriate investors,” highlighted Nicolas Genest. CodeBoxx is a truly ambitious initiative. The organization, with its now business-approved program, is capable of becoming the spark that will light up numerous new careers. The school has begun unfolding plans to open new classes in key markets. There is also a project to make the program more mobile so it can be delivered in remote regions of the world to benefit remote populations who would do great things for their community with the CodeBoxx knowledge and a fast internet connection.
